Community Hospice Foundation

The mission of the Community Hospice Foundation (CHF) is to raise funds and awareness to support the programs and services offered by Community Hospice. As Community Hospice continues to grow and diversify the services we offer to our patients and community, the Foundation has an opportunity to expand our philanthropic efforts to meet new evolving needs and to maintain current services.
Through generous gifts, competitive grant awards, special events and new collaborations we have stood arm in arm with our donors and community partners to make a positive impact for those who are dying, seriously ill, struggling with mental health issues, grieving the passing of a loved one and more. We are ever grateful to our donors, Board, volunteers and Friends of Community Hospice members who join us in our mission and know we cannot do this critical work alone without the support of our benefactors.
As you continue reading you will see highlights of our outreach to the community and the special events, we held this past year to raise funds and awareness of our programs and services. What you won’t see, but what is most important, are the hundreds upon hundreds of lives that were impacted this past year because of people, perhaps you, who cared enough to make a difference. Our hearts are filled with gratitude for all who support our mission!

Since 1979, Community Hospice has been at the forefront of hospice services throughout the Central Valley. It is because of our donors we continue the critical and compassionate services and programs offered by Community Hospice. Your gifts are visible each day through the work of our doctors, nurses, chaplains, social workers, hospice aides, grief support specialists and other program support staff. Thank you for continuing to support our mission.

Fantasy of Trees
The Friends of Community Hospice hosted the annual Fantasy of Trees event in partnership with McHenry Village merchants and talented, local designers who added their creative touches to Holiday trees and wreaths all placed on auction for the highest bidder to raise much needed funds for our growing pediatric hospice and palliative care program serving our youngest patients. Last year, they raised nearly $65,000 with this event.
Light Up A Life Holiday Tree
The longest standing event for Friends of Community Hospice is Light Up A Life. This annual tree lighting event is held the first Sunday of December at Memorial Medical Center.
Our Friends work tirelessly to make lasting memories for families by selling symbolic lights and tree ornaments in memory and in honor of loved ones. Last years, we raised $31,632 and recognized the Country Crossroad Quilters as the honorary tree lighters. |
